Who is Bristol Life Centre for?
Bristol life centre is open to 16-25 year olds, based in Bristol, who have been to prison, have received a caution from the police or who are considered likely to get into trouble with the police. This includes people who have been excluded from school and are NEET.
It aims to help young people who have had a disadvantaged upbringing. This services is open to people from all backgrounds but specialises in helping people from the BME community.

The main aim of the Centre is to enable young people to make informed choices that enable young people to better themselves and break away from their current lifestyle and life choices. To achieve this the centre offers mentoring and coaching for young people. Mentors and coaches come from a wide variety of backgrounds from ex-prisoners to university graduates, disadvantaged to advantaged backgrounds. Mentors and coaches are matched to each young person depending on their aspirations and life experiences.

As well as this the centre offers an options centre that informs young people of the career and education opportunities available and supports young people to progress and fulfil their aspiration. Support ranges from careers advice, CV writing skills and work experience opportunities. The main focus of the options centre is to ensure that the young people working with the centre have access to the right information to ensure they can make informed choices about their future.

The aim of these workshops is to help the young people we work with understand their own potential and that there is another way of life that they can choose. The workshops are interactive and explore a range of themes that are outline in the table below.
